Noss Mayo is a delightful estuary village situated in tranquil surroundings on the southern slopes of the beautiful estuary of the River Yealm which is surrounded by National Trust rolling countryside and includes Lord Revelstoke’s Nine Mile Ride – a glorious cliff-top walk in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within the South Hams. The village amenities include two pubs one with a restaurant and a magnificent Church overlooking the creek. Newton Ferrers on the other side of the estuary has a number of shops including a post office and general store, Chemist, butcher, a Public House, another magnificent Church, a primary school and Yacht Club. From the A379 in Yealmpton, take the B3186 towards Newton Ferrers. After approximately 3 miles take the left turn signposted Noss Mayo.
