From Kingsbridge take the A379 towards Plymouth. Go through Churchstow and at the Bantham roundabout take the 1st left on to the A381 towards Salcombe. Turn right at the Thurlestone sign and continue for approximately 2 1/2 miles. On entering the village of Thurlestone drive past the Primary School then take the right turn at the sign posted Bantham and Buckland, follow this lane and The Downs will be found a short way down on the left-hand side through the brick pillar entrance.
