A delightful period cottage with long views over the tidal estuary of the River Yealm.
Set at the end of a short terrace of stone cottages above the foreshore the cottage offers widespread views over the tidal estuary of the River Yealm. The twin villages offer a sheltered and outstandingly beautiful environment, including tidal and deep water moorings, slipways and quayside areas, while also being comparatively tranquil. Within the villages there are three waterside pubs, a yacht club, supermarket, Post Office, butchers, pharmacist, churches, primary school, and thriving all-year round community with many local activities. Plymouth City centre is within 20 minutes normal driving time.
Conventionally laid out with much of the accommodation benefitting from the unobstructed water views this is a property that would suit either permanent or holiday use. In recent years the cottage has been the subject of a long-term letting and has since been extensively redecorated. Internally the accommodation offers a great deal of character, while outside there is a useful long terrace taking good benefit of the views down the estuary.
From the A379 between Plymouth and Modbury at Yealmpton, take the B3186 to Newton Ferrers When reaching the village continue until finding Marchand Petit's office, and The Tea Room on the Green, on the right. In about 50 metres, at the grass island, turn left down the hill towards Bridgend and continue to the head of the creek. Bear hard right towards Noss Mayo. Pass the long stone building on the right, and then park beside the quay, and continue up the hill on foot for a short distance and the front door to the property will be found on the right.
