Oulton, creating an enchanting atmosphere with stunning British revival décor, sumptuous handmade furniture and beguiling vintage and retro curios.

Move in and enjoy the magic from the start!

A farmhouse originally occupied the site of Glazebrook House, with the current building still encompassing three of the original rooms.
Later, in 1865, the farmhouse was converted into a manor house in what is believed to have been a two-phased extension to the south and subsequently north sides. Though Georgian in design, the property's granite entrance portico alludes to its early Victorian elements, further
authenticated by its Victorian light-well and the stained glassed windows on the stairwell that illuminate the area with natural light.

In 1945, Glazebrook House was bought by naval commander Algernon Edmund Penrice-Lyons, who owned the property until circa 1970 when it was converted into a hotel. The current owners
have carried out considerable refurbishments since their purchase in 2013, giving the house a new lease of life and ensuring its longevity, future proofing it for its next owner and custodians.

Glazebrook House is located on the edge of Dartmoor, within the National Park and a few minutes' reach of the A38 Devon Expressway, South Devon's premium arterial carriageway. The location also benefits from excellent rail transportation networks within 5 to 10 miles.

Dartmoor National Park is on the doorstep with its open moorland and deep rivers rich in history and wildlife interspersed with tiny hamlets, bustling towns, and pretty villages. Dartmoor is the thriving, beating heart of Devon. The local village of South Brent is a bustling Devon parish situated on the southern edge of Dartmoor National Park. The village enjoys a wide range of shops, including a supermarket, butchers, pharmacy, delicatessen and electrical shop. The professional services include a health centre and dental surgery. South Brent has both primary and nursery schools with the senior schools being
Kevics in Totnes, South Dartmoor College in Ashburton and Ivybridge Community College. Furthermore, there are three churches, one hotel and two inns.
