Easton is just outside the village of Bigbury which is situated on the hill above Bigbury on Sea and is less than two miles from the beach. The village offers a local store with a larger one nearby at St Ann's Chapel. The Georgian town of Modbury, which is well provided with a range of local shops, is some six miles to the north west. Kingsbridge, nine miles to the east, has bus links to Totnes and Plymouth, and is a comprehensive shopping centre. Nearby there are fine cliff top and coastal walks, other beaches and coves, with sailing at Salcombe and Newton Ferrers, 18 hole golf courses at Thurlestone and Bigbury, and Dartmoor National Park is several miles to the north.
Leave the A379 Modbury to Kingsbridge road and after about 1.5 miles turn right at Harraton Cross. Follow the signs for Bigury on Sea and on reaching St Ann's Chapel turn left, signposted Easton. After half a mile turn left and follow the lane down into the hamlet and the drive to Long Easton will be found on the right.
