21st Annual Festival of Trees lights up Christmas for children

Visitors are receiving a warm, festive welcome at Plymouth’s Theatre Royal with glittering trees and garlands on display in the main foyer to raise money for the NSPCC.

The colourful array of yuletide trees around the Theatre have been sponsored by local businesses and decorated, either by their staff or by NSPCC volunteers and young people from Plymouth’s NSPCC Participation group.

The event comes as the Theatre Royal and the NSPCC work together on a campaign to raise funds that will go towards helping the NSPCC continue its work to protect children, including Childline, the Speak Out Stay Safe programme and the Plymouth service centre.

Helen Harris, Manager of Marchand Petit’s Modbury office commented:

“We were delighted to contribute and get involved in the festival, it has always been a huge success and the NSPCC always try to bring it back bigger and better every year. It’s a very worthwhile cause and over the past 20 years the event has raised more than £200,000 for the children’s charity.”
