Spring had well and truly sprung on Sunday 13th March 2016, heralding a wonderful day of Point-to-Point horse racing at the popular historic course of Buckfastleigh.
Marchand Petit is proud to have sponsored the very popular pony races. With 13 riders in the two races and good going the atmosphere was electric. With three quarters of the mile long circuit to cover, the miniature jockeys (ranging from 10 years to 15) urged their miniature ’thoroughbreds’ on, finishing with a thrilling sprint across the line.
Rosettes for all and treats for the ponies rounded off a most entertaining afternoon. Trophies and prizes were presented by Justine Andrews, Marketing Manager for Marchand Petit and Kirsty Cook, Branch Manager of Dartmouth. Also in attendance was Angela Bassett, Senior Negotiator from the Totnes branch enjoying a thoroughly good day out, as Point-to-Point horse racing proves to be.
On the 18th May 2020, in line with government guidelines for estate agency, we resumed viewings and valuations of property. Where possible we will be minimising the numbers of viewings by first offering buyers a virtual tour. When viewings take place in person, social distancing and safety protocols will be in place.
We would like to remind all buyers that travel to the South Hams should be achievable in a day (round trip) and for those who live further away, a virtual tour with one of our agents will be offered until travel restrictions change.
In the meantime, our team are still available to help by phone, email or video conference.
