Pimm’s and cream teas at Alston Gate Open Day, in Marlborough

The doors were opened on a Saturday in July 2015 to the View Home at Alston Gate, to welcome interested buyers and the families who have already moved into these well appointed, brand new properties in Marlborough.

The visitors and home owners enjoyed a glass of Pimm’s and cream teas, as they looked over the few remaining properties on the site.

Carol Boyd of DCH, the developer, commented: “It was the perfect opportunity for us to launch the finished product and introduce the new owners to one another.  The day went very well and visitors were very complimentary about the finish and specification of the Galmpton and Salcombe house types, now available to move into.”

Jane Summers of Marchand Petit said: "We were delighted with the level of interest and how impressed visitors were with the completed scheme and layouts of the houses.  The courtyard gardens received several comments from being ideal for low maintenance, sunny and secure."

Only one three bedroom home is left to sell, which has a light and airy open plan sitting, dining room/kitchen with a separate utility, three bedrooms, with the master bedroom en suite, family bathroom,  and french doors from the dining area out into the lawned back garden.

All the properties come with two parking spaces.  The two semi-detached, four bedroom, Galmpton type houses come with kitchens equipped with integral dishwashers and built-in microwaves. They also have a water butt, walled courtyard gardens, and like the three bedroom homes are available for immediate occupation.

There is serous interest from owner occupiers and buyers looking to return to the village having moved away from the area due to family commitments.

All properties are now SOLD - prices started from £295,000 and viewing was by appointment with Marchand Petit 01548 844473.
