Known by most as “ Yealmpton Show”, this popular annual Agricultural Show always falls on the last Wednesday in July. This year’s show, the 132nd to be held, was a bumper year for attendance, with all show stands being booked well in advance. The 12 months of planning and hard work undertaken by the committee, members and stewards delivered another memorable show. The main attraction this year was the “Sheep Show” – a humorous educational live stage show about sheep and wool, the kids big and small loved it!
The Bettison Trophy Cup for ‘Best in Field’ was won by Marchand Petit and their show partners Burgh Island Hotel, Relish Interiors and South Hams Fencing & Landscaping. Yeamlpton Show Chairman, Jackie Rogers, and Stand Judges Roz James and Mike Plant presented the cup to Stewart Cartwright and Lilly Krupa from Burgh Island – their 1930’s theme was a great hit with their guests and public alike and the iconic Sea Tractor is well known amongst the engineers and agricultural community.
On the 18th May 2020, in line with government guidelines for estate agency, we resumed viewings and valuations of property. Where possible we will be minimising the numbers of viewings by first offering buyers a virtual tour. When viewings take place in person, social distancing and safety protocols will be in place.
We would like to remind all buyers that travel to the South Hams should be achievable in a day (round trip) and for those who live further away, a virtual tour with one of our agents will be offered until travel restrictions change.
In the meantime, our team are still available to help by phone, email or video conference.
